Dwyane Wade tells story of going to Cleveland right after the 2006 finals to show off his ring to LeBron:
“LeBron used to do his bike-a-thon in Cleveland…. His bike-a-thon was like 5 days after winning the finals. The last place you want to be after winning a championship in Miami is Cleveland. But that was the first place I wanted to go. I’m going to be like ‘hey bro, so uhhh, what’s up?’ I’m going back to talk about my ring. For me, that was important to be the first one in my class.”

The upcoming Jeep Wrangler Scrambler will essentially become a two-door pickup version of the Wrangler lineup, bringing back the spirit of the original CJ-8 Scrambler from the 1980s while mixing in modern performance, technology, and hardcore off-road capability. But this isn’t just another Wrangler with a bed attached to the back. Jeep appears to be going all-in on making this a true halo vehicle for the Wrangler family.
One of the biggest influences appears to be the Wrangler Scrambler 392 Concept, which already gave fans a preview of what a high-performance short-wheelbase pickup could look like.
Unlike the current Gladiator, the Scrambler will only be offered as a two-door model. Because of that shorter cabin design, Jeep is reportedly engineering longer front doors to make rear-seat access easier. There will also be integrated side steps to help passengers climb into the back more easily.
One of the most unique features of the Scrambler will be its removable rear hardtop section. Similar to classic SUVs from decades ago, passengers in the rear will be able to experience a much more open-air feel than anything currently offered in the Jeep lineup.
Even crazier, the rear seats are expected to swivel and face backwards. That setup gives the Scrambler a completely different personality compared to traditional pickups and creates more of a recreational and adventure-focused atmosphere. It’s the kind of feature Jeep enthusiasts usually only see on concepts, which makes it even more surprising that the company is seriously considering putting it into production.
Jeep has not officially confirmed powertrain details yet. We hope it's Hellcat Powered.
