Your stablecoins are only as good as the entity issuing them. My Tier List of Stablecoin Issuers 🧵 ⸻ ➣ Bull 🐂 @tether: Biggest stablecoin by market share in crypto: ~59%. Almost $2 trillion in settlement volume was completed in July alone, and $637 million in fees earned in the last 30 days. @circle: Strongest regulatory optics (NYDFS/US, public-company grade disclosures), USDC is the monetary base on Base (~89% dominance) and a strong leader on Solana. @ethena: Explosive growth over the past months: ~$12.8b supply and very active DeFi usage. It's a delta-neutral synthetic YB stable, so regulatory/market-structure risks differ from fiat-backed, but the growth and liquidity are impressive. @SkyEcosystem: Crypto-native with real scale: DAI + USDS together sit near the $9–10B supply range and are integrated well across lending, routing, and savings apps. Strong supply growth and leading usage across EVM. ⸻ ➣ Crab 🦀 @Paxos: Top compliance (NYDFS) and reports. PYUSD has climbed past $1B and expanded across chains, but the aggregate Paxos stable supply & adoption is still mid-tier versus Bull projects. @falconfinance: A big potential here, great growth and partnerships, only in Crab because of poor adoption across chains (93% supply just on Ethereum) and lower supply than Bull projects. @Ripple: RLUSD is a licensed and NYDFS-approved structure, live on XRPL & Ethereum with decent supply ($730m). Still, it's live just on XRP & Ethereum and isn't widely adopted across DeFi. @aave: Over-collateralized, governance-tight, and deeply integrated with Aave markets, with $350m supply. GHO growth has been methodical rather than explosive. Usage is mostly niche rather than widely across apps. ⸻ ➣ Bear 🐻 @FDLabsHQ: Shady token with multiple accusations of insolvency and regulatory issues. Its only legitimate use case is for Binance trading. Don't advise holding it, better safe than sorry. @usualmoney: USD0++ depegged and caused big liquidations and a sharp drawdown in the USUAL token. It rebounded eventually, but the lack of comms and shady tricks from the team won't make me trust it ever again. @A7A5official: Shady ruble stablecoin was mainly created to avoid sanctions and international payments, yet some people are holding it and earning APY (lol). It deppeged a couple of times, don't advise touching it. ⸻ What protocol did I miss? Hope you enjoyed this post and found some new VALUABLE information.
