I disagreed with myself about what to put here.

@SwailesRuth @MichaelRosenYes I worry a lot about my teacher daughter. It’s an unsustainable job. Her colleagues are resigning one after the other.

After leading 41 training sessions, visiting 27 schools and working with thousands of teachers since January, I think I’ve got a fairly good handle on the mood in the profession. Here’s what I’ve observed. Everyone is working flat out. Harder than they’ve ever worked before.

School leaders who have understanding and care for children and their development are gold dust and need supporting. When funding is tight and where inspectors may not share the same view of inclusion I do fear good folks will leave/retire even faster.

Thinking of repeating the analysis of one of my PhD chapters. Would be interesting if same/different effects and epidemiology now.

@epballou Similar in literature. Character starts coughing, dies of consumption.

Why is coughing always the TV signal that someone's dying, no matter what's actually wrong with them? #tbtXFiles

Read a thing where a person had documented their daydreams. But I think if I had to remember to write them down I would stop daydreaming or it would feel stilted and fake.

Running feels so good. Seeing pics of running buddy along coast of Ireland makes me so tempted to move to be with them. If only!

Is Meta home feed broken for other UK users? It seems to be for me. Ironically stuck on a post discussing a new feature. The stuck feature!

3 days from learning about a thing, to getting referred to speaking with a very helpful person. I know things can be tough but when the NHS works it really is brilliant.

Had some work done in house. Needed to show electrician the switchboard, which for aesthetics is hidden behind three layers of stuff. I start ripping Back to the Future frame and some wood paneling off the wall. “It looks like I am pulling my house apart… that's because I am”.

I tend to think DPO = Data Protection Officer. Reading something just now about a consultation it doesn’t mean that, it stands for Disabled Peoples Organisation. Important to know. The more I read the more I need to pause on abbreviations.

@jahorne Many people did experience this in 2020, I guess seeing it outside of a pandemic might show it to be realistic everyday

I challenge everyone to experience their community car free or car lite for just a few days. It will open your eyes or, dare I say, radicalize, you to learn what your city feels like on the human level. You'll experience a sense of clarity no prestine windshield could provide.

@MartinSLewis When health messaging becomes a matter of political opinion/debate the job of public health becomes more challenging.

I can't believe some of the responses to this post. I had no clue I was stepping into anything! I was interested in the symptoms list of a disease in the news, not making a political point.

I was just reading about the cases of invasive invasive meningococcal disease in Kent. I noticed this early symptoms list and thought it may be worth sharing... "The onset of illness is often sudden and early diagnosis and treatment with antibiotics are vital. Early symptoms, which may not always be present, include: - a rash that does not fade when pressed with a glass - sudden onset of high fever - severe and worsening headache - stiff neck - vomiting and diarrhoea - joint and muscle pain - dislike of bright lights - very cold hands and feet - seizures - confusion/delirium - extreme sleepiness/difficulty waking This came from this page where there is more... gov.uk/government/new…

Recalling how it was compulsory for me to get vaccines before travelling to a university in the USA (included MenB, I believe legal requirement in New Jersey). Had been to three U.K. universities who I don’t think even asked about vaccination status.

Reverse scrapbooking is great! Prepare for your summer holiday by collating pictures and details of where you want to visit before you go. Adults have a readymade plan and children have an idea of what to expect.

Saw a post that was clearly baiting for a reaction. Then predictably other person targeted replies. Argument predictably follows. Need more listening less talking. But so hard to see when stuck in repetitive dance.
