I am extremely disappointed and demanding an explanation for why my @MTNNG line was deactivated, despite being a loyal MTN customer for over 20 years.
I consistently used this line, loaded airtime, and kept it active, even after emigrating. I was still in Nigeria last year and paid the said price to back it up. This was not a dormant or abandoned number. The line had airtime, was in constant use, and was relied upon for both personal and business communication.
As a direct result of this sudden and unexplained deactivation:
Clients and business partners could not reach me.
I was unable to return important calls
I have lost business opportunities and income
My professional credibility has been negatively affected
At no point was I given a clear warning, justification, or opportunity to resolve any issue before this action was taken. For a customer who has shown long‑term loyalty and continued financial support to the network, this treatment is unacceptable.
I am formally requesting:
A clear and detailed explanation for the deactivation
Why an active, regularly used line with available airtime was disconnected
Immediate guidance on how this line can be restored or appropriately compensated.
@MTNNG claims to value its customers I expect this matter to be treated with urgency and professionalism, given the real financial and reputational damage this deactivation has caused.
