@PZandstra @joelostblom Awesome!! So glad to see our latest paper online! We show that a simple #Turing mechanism with reactive boundaries can explain the emergence of spontaneous asymmetry in 2D patterned cellular structures, which we validate using pluripotent #stemcell microppatterned colonies.

@PZandstra @joelostblom Our Turing model allows the self-organization of boundary conditions, and revealed reciprocal effects between diffusion and size of the colony, with model-predicted asymmetries in small pattern sizes being dominated by diffusion, and centro-symmetric patterns being size-dominated

Today my second PhD paper is finally published! nature.com/articles/s4146… Thanks to all my coauthors, especially @yili_qian for all his modeling support over the years (check out his other papers!) and Katherine Ilia for taking care of experiments for the revision!

Thank you Australia - it’s been a blast! After 9 years down under, I am very happy to be moving closer to home and (re)starting my lab @CABD_UPO_CSIC in beautiful Seville. If interested in developmental epigenomics and working with 🐠, there will be positions available soon!

We are very pleased to welcome @bogdanoviclab & his team to @CABD_UPO_CSIC in April, 2022! 🎉🎉🎉Ozren has been a PI @GarvanInstitute & @UNSW for the last 5 years and at #CABD he will continue to study the contribution of the epigenome to embryogenesis and disease formation.🧬🐟
