The Premier League have had over three years to put together a deal to the EFL that would benefit both parties, and also negate the need for an IFR. Their failure to do so suggests that football can’t look after itself and the abject failure of the FA to show leadership and decision making means sadly that an alternative is required. The Premier League should look in the mirror as to why IFR is happening.
