@BouafifNour Fermin, for sure. He's clinical and he can run. He makes good decisions. His pressing is very good. Our only chances will probably after winning the ball high up the pitch, in their half. Without Lamine it will probably be difficult to generate something from set play

@emildavidin @ReshadFCB lol thank God you’re not part of the decision makers. When the going got tougher, we had Frenkie, Gavi, and Bernal all injured. Pedri had just returned from injury. Olmo and Fermin also being inconsistent. After World Cup we are not even sure if all of them will be available.

@BouafifNour Very well written. Gavi was described as "overrated" so much so that he became "underrated". It's as if everyone accepted he was just a mid-tier player before his injury. That's not only incorrect, but there are very few players who are both technically and physically impressive

What we saw from Gavi against Atleti was brilliant and already makes him a very valuable asset in any team, but the truth is this isn’t even 50% of him. We’re seeing the Gavi we know off the ball, but on the ball he can offer much more. It’s not that he’s been bad in possession, it’s just that he has the technical ability to do much more than this. Anyone who remembers his breakthrough season knows this. Gavi is a good dribbler, he can beat players in tight spaces, he’s very smooth with his first touch and half-turns, and he naturally looks to play forward with risky, line-breaking passes rather than just safe sideways ones. He can even crash the box and contribute with goals sometimes. He's not showing that right now, but i know it's all still there. With time, confidence, and rhythm, he’ll bring it back and even improve on it. And when that happens, we could be looking at one of the most complete midfield profiles out there.
