Very few school shooters have gotten the death penalty. Yet the U.S. is trying to charge Luigi Mangione so he gets the death penalty for killing one man. You can kill dozens of kids and get a lesser sentence because their lives don’t matter as much as a CEO’s. That’s America.

The State is delivering its opening statement in the trial of Sheldon “Tim” Herrington here at the Lafayette County Courthouse. Herrington is accused of murdering Jimmy “Jay” Lee in July 2022.

I have watched and served under Republican leadership in the poorest state in the nation and their policies just don't work. We are still the poorest state with the worst health outcomes, with a shrinking population that is caused mostly by the exodus of educated people under 30, because they are reaching for progress and a better life. I won't go into how little we care about women. We couldn't even pass a post-partum care bill that CMS would approve after taking years to past. We just elected a President that will turn the country into Mississippi. SMH! Good Luck

Don’t get me wrong, MAGA lunatics can be found anywhere— especially in this state. It’s just not as prevalent this time around in my experience.

I have a feeling that voter turnout in MS will be lower than the last major election; especially for republicans. As it turns out, Tr**p’s extremism doesn’t sit well with a lot of conservatives here. They don’t see him as a patriot.

I work in a medical office okay, and we see a ton of people, especially low income people, and EVERYONE small talks about the price of groceries. Everyone. It’s not even the weather anymore, it’s just “How are you? You know I spent $200 on 5 items at the grocery store last week?”
