genuine question for composers; how do u guys work on phrasing or like groove? like, i have like 5-7 patterns i use in my songs but when it comes to coming up with new ones i think i just have trouble

@emjaydotprod I don't typically start writing a song until I have a general idea of how I want it to sound. Listening to a couple of reference tracks speeds up the thought process drastically, as it allows you to come up with more ideas on the style and structure of the song
