Alam niyo if the roles were reversed and Wine was the one outwardly being open with feelings, she would *definitely* write love letters

I find it so endearing that Wine writes little messages whenever she wants to make something between her and Lal official. #EnemiesWithBenefitsEP8

[MY OPINION BTW🥰]
Why didn't Wine tell Lal about Korn?
Lal would've confronted Korn herself even if Korn was her boss. Lal would end up risking her job, and herself, and Wine doesn't want that because she knows firsthand what happens if you directly go against people like Korn.
Wine is already aware that Korn is targeting the sales team and that Lal was affected mentally by that (which is why Wine had to go and cheer her up). Wine also knows that Lal has a family to support. Now that Korn has definitive evidence to get both Lal and Wine out of their jobs, Wine decides that the best way to go about this is to break things off completely with Lal to protect her.
Why couldn’t Wine and Lal just work together to take down Korn?
Wine is coming from a past of trauma and years of conditioning herself to believe that being alone was the best way to protect herself. Remember that Wine told Lal that she doesn’t feel safe around people or feel that she’s worthy of love.
Her abuser, who has returned, is a living reminder that if Wine does the same thing again (going against him), that same thing (losing everything) will happen again. But this time, the stakes now include Lal.
Wine can risk everything for Lal and to be with Lal. But Lal’s well-being comes before her own desire for a relationship. Her love for Lal outweighs her fear of a life without Lal. She’d rather have Lal live without Wine, than Lal experience what Wine went through. For Wine, the burden of her trauma weighs heavier than her perceived self-worth.
Why are people upset at Wine’s words and actions, when it’s obvious that Wine did this out of trauma and to protect Lal?
Because Lal has been on the receiving end of Wine’s behavior that, we now know, was shaped by a traumatic past. Again and again, Lal apologizes for overstepping. Lal apologizes for loving. Lal apologizes for everything she did and didn’t do. For Lal, every step forward ends up with her needing to take three steps back. Every pull has a push. It’s not just confusing for Lal; it hurts. She loves Wine so much, but constantly feels like she’s violating Wine’s boundaries. This is extra hurtful because Lal is now aware of Wine’s traumatic past.
Lal knows Wine’s unkindness stems from an unkind past. Lal also feels extremely hurt by Wine’s unkindness. These things can coexist.
People are upset because Lal has always been someone who bounces back from problems, who deals with things with a smile, who shoulders everyone’s burdens if it means it’ll be easier on everyone. This episode gives us Lal at her wit’s end twice: the pajama scene, where Wine threatens to end their relationship; and the last scene, where Wine finally ends their relationship. People are upset at the last scene, because Lal had done nothing wrong, yet she was clearly ready to get on her knees and apologize to Wine again. Lal hasn’t done anything, but she already felt like she messed up again.
People are upset because they think:
How many times must Lal’s heart break?
How many times must Lal feel her love is wrong?
How many times must Lal suffer, again and again, for love?
