There’s a balance here to be struck as always. Not every Chelsea legend came in as a big name and many Chelsea flops came in as big names. This shouldn’t be about flexing on rivals just to sign any big name and every big name. Madrid can’t get their front line to press and got slapped by Barca over and over. The new mentality/ style we’re showing the new signings have got to fit into. But also being world champions doesn’t make us prem or ucl champions. Previous successes in our history should show us that following up and sustained success isn’t easy. I think a big point you’re missing tho is people aren’t living their already stressful lives to be angry everyday about Chelsea. We just won a trophy and it was a massive achievement for the group. People should enjoy it. Directors and owners said they could do better then the previous ownership & peoples approach will either to trust them to do that or to keep them honest until it’s done. A balance of both in the fanbase is not a bad thing.

Chelsea Twitter is really annoying me. I truly do apologise for wanting to capitalise on success by adding some huge signings that will put us into legitimate title contention. If you don’t capitalise on being world champions; then what’s the point in the first place, we will have fantastic pull right now and the finances are excellent. Chelsea FC died when fans started blindly backing this new structure. They have deluded you into thinking that we shouldn’t or can’t afford big players. What a joke. What has my Football club fans become? Yes we have signed some players that we wouldn’t have expected to become good but everyone is so relaxed. This isn’t the fan base I know. People only live in the moment, well I’m not, I still think we should be signing top proven players if we want to not be capped at 3rd and a domestic trophy next season.
