This is the worst example of shrinkflation I have ever seen- Butter has been sold as 250g/half a pound since the dawn of time. Cooks learn to judge its weight by sight because of that Now it’s quietly reduced to 200g a packet. That’s like siphoning 20% out of a pint of beer!

I judge a nation by how friendly people are to dogs. Britain has many problems, but we score very highly on this point at least and we are a better country as a result

Not only was it extremely lovely to wake up to so many pics of people’s dogs, it was also hugely heartening to note the universal outcry at the BBC’s sudden, & rather transparent, motivation to ‘suggest’ that we, as a country, might have taken our love for dogs “a bit too far…”

19 birds recorded from my London window in half an hour this am using the Merlin app. Including a starling, which we don't often get. A small joy!

Seven dogs stolen from their owners have gone viral after escaping from an illegal transport truck and making their way home. They traveled around 17 km together, led by a corgi across highways and fields, now safely back with their respective owners..🐶🐾🥺❤️
