I want to be real with you and I'm hoping you'll try to understand me. MGP does break with the party about 25% of the time. Often on issues like immigration where she is more moderate. She is in a district that Trump won. Her district was one of only 13 crossover districts in the country where Trump won but a Democrat won the House seat. What MGP did is rare and difficult to do. Darializa Avila Chevalier would not have won in her district. Now let me give you a good faith explanation for why it's still better for Democrats that she wins — she votes WITH the party 75% of the time. That is way more than the Republican who would replace her, but this is not even the most important reason. Let's pretend (falsely) that MGP voted with Republicans 100% of the time (she does not. Not even close). We would still rather she hold the seat because it puts us one seat closer to a majority (that means the party with more than half of the seats). I need you to understand this — the ability to do good things or prevent bad things is NOT given to whomever cares the most. It is ENTIRELY determined by the party with the most seats. The party that has the majority chooses the Speaker of the House and decides what gets voted on at all. The majority determines who controls the committees, who has subpoena power to hold Trump accountable, and who sets the legislative agenda. You and I may disagree on some things but we probably share many of the same goals too. Neither of us wants Republicans to control congress. Without a Democratic majority you can forget about anything you want to do. If you are a progressive or a socialist you REALLY need moderate candidates who can beat Republicans all over the country, outside of the big cities, and where Republicans are more popular. Without that, Republicans would control congress forever. I earnestly hope you read this. I tried my best to answer your question in a genuine way

@zorogroyper I have a different question for socialists: what is the plan for generating the wealth that will pay for the socialism after we dismantle capitalism?

Lindsey Graham stood up to the world’s bullies and genocidal regimes. He was no warmonger.  He was deeply concerned about the well-being of the human race. Lindsey was a genuine American patriot who loved our country, was loyal to our people, and was committed to our allies — Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan, NATO, and more. Lindsey was a true friend and leader. We spent a lot of time on the phone and texting the last few years as he reached out to me often.  It was an honor to endorse his reelection when others would not. He adored President Trump and was so proud of their friendship. And he gave the President outstanding advice through thick and thin. He wanted President Trump and our country to succeed. I’m going to miss him a great deal. I already do.  He leaves a huge void.  I’ll have more to say tomorrow on radio and Hannity. Thank you, Lindsey, for a life well lived. May God bless his family.

@AezzieUwU I do want to honor the importance of black people to the Democratic base but there are a lot of black people in Georgia and Michigan also. Move the early primaries to the swing states

Black voters in South Carolina have gotten to handpick the Dem nominee in EVERY SINGLE ELECTION for literal DECADES. South Carolina never goes blue anyways so stop making it an early primary state. Let literally ANYONE ELSE IN THE COUNTRY have a voice for a change.

Vox: Black voters in South Carolina are expressing interest in another Kamala Harris presidential bid for 2028 “I didn't think Kamala Harris got a fair shot the first go around. Wasn't enough time for her to get in what she needed to as far as getting her word out for what she can actually implement.”

@SwannMarcus89 There's just not much going on in Maine. Nice in the summer in the coastal/lake areas. The rest of the state's economy is perpetually depressed. Maine is not a state that attracts top-notch go-getters.

The problem Maine Democrats have is that their bench is dogshit due to attributes that are unique to Maine itself. It's not even a swingstate anymore but Collins outperforms every Republican by so much that you still need to field a competitive candidate and they don't have anyone In Maine, the only statewide office that actually gets elected is governor (all the other executives are appointees or elected by the legislature), so there aren't any attorneys-general, Lieutentant Governors, or Secretaries of State with a proven trackrecord of winning elections, like you'd have in Arizona, Virginia, or Georgia. Normally you could just run the two term governor for senate, but Mills is the only candidate older than Collins and one of the biggest concerns voters have with Collins is her age. Shenna Bellows is one of the frontrunners to replace Platner and the last time she won an election was a state Senate race in 2014, after which she lost to Susan Collins by 37 in the 2014 US Senate election. Obviously the state is very different politically today, but one of the top candidates for governor hasn't won an election in 12 years and was last seen losing to the same opponent by almost 40. That's one of the top two possible replacements. The other is Troy Jackson, who's got tons of problems due to his association with Platner and never even won a primary at a higher level than a State Senate election. He's run for higher office twice and lost in the primary by 50 the first time and came in third the second. On top of that, they only have two congressional seats and their actual best possible general election candidate (Jared Golden, who would obliterate Collins) retired because he hates politics. Compare that to Pennsylvania, which elects the Governor, Attorney General, Auditor General, and Treasurer, and has 17 congressional districts + big city mayors. The Democrats have no problem finding candidates there. Josh Shapiro - who would be a big favorite to beat McCormick in the 2030 Senate race if he decides to run - first won statewide elected office as Attorney General, which is elected by the legislature in Maine, not by voters. There are literally no available Democrats in the state who have a proven track record of winning outside of state legislature elections with fewer than 20,000 votes except for Mills, an 80 year old woman who doesn't even seem motivated to run and only did because Schumer begged her to. It's pretty obvious the reason it took the establishment so long to find a candidate to oppose Platner was because Schumer spent months desperately trying to talk Golden into it and he refused

@d3structo_ @PollTracker2024 I feel like you're cherry picking some things that many liberals also support. What about the positions that are unique to DSA candidates like defunding the police, abolishing prisons, and expressing a level of outward contempt for America? I never hear a plan for growth from DSA

@PollTracker2024 Is Democratic Socialist a dirty word? They are the only party representing the will of the people. They speak for Democrats on 80/20 issues that establishment candidates ignore, like the genocide in Gaza.

@SpencerHakimian That's not exactly true because McConnell is not dead, however, Graham is dead and Trump burned bridges with Thom Tillis, John Cornyn, and Bill Cassidy. Susan Collins isn't going to do anything for Trump before the midterms either so Trump is a lame duck as of now

@bennyjohnson @grok did "the left" kill Charlie Kirk or did Tyler Robinson kill Charlie Kirk? Was Tyler Robinson a Democrat? Did Tyler Robinson ever vote for or support any Democrat? Did he belong to any left leaning organizations? Having a trans boyfriend is not enough to be "the left"

Want to know why the left killed Charlie Kirk? Want to know why they keep attacking his legacy? Right here. Look at this. 3,000 students roaring and ready to save their country. This is happening in DC right now. Charlie wasn’t just some guy on a college campus. He was a generational threat to the radical left’s entire power structure. He walked into their strongholds, told the truth about God, family, freedom, and America — and millions of young people listened. They couldn’t debate him. They couldn’t cancel him. So they assassinated him in front of the entire world, thinking it would stop his movement — it didn’t. That’s why they’re coming after his widow and his family. That’s why they’re trying to tear down Turning Point USA and America’s youth. These students, the next generation — THIS is the mission. Charlie’s message won’t be silenced. This is how his legacy lives on @TPUSA God bless them 🇺🇸
