A long ramble about Whitelist spots, community and Lunatics..... Before launch, planned in 2-3 days where there will be a proper nice tutorial and explanation, and the ability to then immediately go and use said platform, i just want to take some time to give a little explanation as to how WL spots, community building, promotion etc is going to work on Lunatics, its not going to be what you are used to and that is for good reason, and as such, that is a risk, but a risk im putting on myself because i think we are stuck in a cycle of doing some things in a certain way which are negative, time consuming, counter productive and often misleading. There are exceptions to this, but for the bulk of projects right now, they introduce themselves, make some noise, ask / demand engagement for rewards to build up enough of a a name, that then an entirely different subset of people jump on asking to collaborate, and get whitelit spots for their communities, these spots are then either fairly or unfairly distributed to people who may or may not want them, may or may not be asked to do tasks like following multiple accounts, reposting something they dont know much about and promoting that to their followers etc, hitting arbitrary goals set up by generic bots, with little thought or care as to what any of these projects are or mean to their communities. I am so sick of it, i cant say how many times ive gotten a whitelist spot just because i could but didnt know anything about it or care, or how many times ive wanted a spot but didnt want to jump through those hoops, i have also worked on countless projects where we have had incredible people and communities build up these great lists and interests but its impossible to really draw any functional conclusions from about how many of those people are actually interested and want to mint and what those conversation rates look like, about hedging bets and having tiered releases and guaranteed spots and fcfs spots and public spots and any other stupid name these things are given My intention is to solve this with a platform we will first use test and execute across 2 projects and then open source for the entire community to use, and imo is built in a way that it can be flexible to the needs of almost any rollout, i wont talk about all those usecases now, but i will explain how i will be using this platform, what that user experience will be like for me and how i think it will be the best usecase for Lunatics and my projects going forward Our platform is entirely self contained, each day, i will take a snapshot of a community of my choosing, i will take in to consideration what that project adds to the space, its holder count etc and assign a claimable amount of spots for that community that day, i will make a post showcasing that project, why i like that project, what it does for the space, link its socials and markets and use my platform to showcase them, at the end of that post i will include a link to our Lunalist platform, at which point, all you have to do is paste your wallet address in, and if you are in the first amount of people, lets say for example i offer that community 50 spots, if you are the first 50 to do that, itll confirm you are on that snapshot, then add you to the master whitelist and let you know. At this stage, you will be asked to have done nothing but say you want that spot, and it can end there completely, we will also however have a wallet connect on the site, and should you choose to connect your wallet, you can see each of your whitelist spots, as they stack, click any one of them, and simply transfer that spot to any wallet of your choosing, to a friend who wants in, for giveaways, for members of your community, sell them, do whatever you want, it will confirm the transfer of the spot, and this will then be checkable both with or without wallet connect for both users thereafter With one exception, each day it will allow you to claim one spot assuming you hold the set that is promoted that day, The exception to that will be for holders of the ransom note mint that just happened, these people will be the first collection that is used on the platform, and you can put in your address once, and itll assign you a whitelist spot for every single ransom note you hold, this rewards the people who went out of their way to make it happen, and ensures some people have multiple spots where they can also test and use our whitelist spot trading system Each day i will promote a new community, big or small, and we will give out exactly 3333 spots, this will be the final guaranteed list, there will then be no secondary first come first serve lists, 3333 Guaranteed, then public We will never ask us to promote us for a spot, we will never ask you to retweet, we will never ask you to sign in to anything you don't want to or connect to anything you don't want to, we will reward genuine ordinals communities, and for the people who are passionate and care and turn on notifications, the people who actually want spots, you will be able to get them There is so much more to this i cant wait to share and say
