Finally, someone who can actually discuss this without jumping straight to insults, holy fuck. Yeah, I get the “more realistic ballistics / economy compensation” angle, especially in CS. I just personally don’t enjoy when that turns into situations where you do everything right mechanically and still get punished by RNG. I prefer the Quake-style philosophy where if your crosshair placement and tracking are good, the game rewards you every time. I’m not saying your view is wrong, it’s just a different design goal. I’d rather play the version where consistency > realism, and where price balance is handled through damage, roles, and utility instead of adding more randomness into whether a shot lands.

Guys, it’s 2026. Why are we still asking questions like this? Valorant weapons have first bullet inaccuracy, it’s literally documented in the game. That’s why people joke about how it was marketed as “precise gunplay,” yet there’s still RNG built into the gunfight mechanics. I really miss the old FPS games where this kind of crap didn’t exist. The game actually rewarded good aim instead of just screwing you over because of some RNG bad luck.

Not only that, but the way the weapon economy works, the higher price guns have to be more effective to compensate for cost.

“Different game” isn’t a defense. It’s fair to compare and ask why a modern FPS adds randomness where older ones rewarded pure skill. Sometimes you do everything right and still lose the fight to RNG. That’s exactly why people have an issue with it. That's why people always make fun of the game
