Looooool how do brain dead takes like this get so many likes! nobody uses “steel roofing tiles” it’s even structurally impractical, bcos it would increase the load on the walls meaning you need more reinforcements on the walls & roof trusses (same goes for clay by the way). what’s used is aluminum roofing sheets and they aren’t imported atleast not in nigeria, companies like Nigerite, tower aluminum, Gerard have been producing them in nigeria for almost 40yrs. Clay is obviously better for insulation but aluminum also does a good job, especially stone coated aluminum roofing tiles they give similar performance to clay while being 4x cheaper. you guys will just wake up with one brain dead agenda on “africa is being held back” or “why are we importing X, when we have it in abundance” w/o even understanding what the fuck you’re talking about! you think architects & builders don’t know clay is better for roofing insulation? but if your house is 4x more expensive than it currently is you will be the first person to revolt.
