Today is NHPI Women's Equal Pay Day 2024.

Healthcare is a basic human right and should be accessible and affordable for all, including all Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders.

The NHPI community is often overlooked and under served as a result of a lack of high quality, disaggregated data for different subgroups acknowledging the rich diversity of the NHPI population in America.

Health disparities impact NHPI communities throughout the U.S. and result in shorter lifespans and affect our overall quality of life. Improved access to health care is essential.

We oppose the biennial desecration of our sacred oceanic spaces by the 29 countries who will be playing war games during RIMPAC

Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) is the world's largest military exercise that takes place in the waters around the Hawaiian Islands. Almost 30 different countries participate in this exercise which is hosted by the Commander of the United States Pacific Fleet. (Thread 1/5)

Kanaks, like all Indigenous people, have a right to autonomy and self-determination

Since May 2024, ongoing rebellion for Kanak independence has led to at least nine deaths.

Kanak are fighting for independence from France. Like many of our Pacific Islader people, autonomy over the land and resources is vital to their existence.

To understand gender identity and diversity is to understand our Pasifika people. Māhū and non-binary identities have always been a part of our Pasifika culture. American and Christian culture have influenced how our people perceive gender and sexual identities.
