@emsfjr

@Garrel_Channel ありがとうございます!

@azukiglg It would be best for japanese anime to keep the content as authentically japanese, thats why the west likes it. But it would be smart to recognize the now global market in consideration - including how to monetize it and pay authors and animators better.
日本語

@RX_9999_2 I think, Japanese people would probably have difficulty fully understanding Westerners anyway, and trying to appeal to people who don't actually exist never goes well.
English

@RX_9999_2 There's a thought in the West, though not universal.
You should make things for yourself, and so attract fans who like the things you want to make. In fact, your fans already like the things you make, so there's no point changing things for their sake.
English

@Garrel_Channel Well, it's fine. I'm just hoping to understand more. Thank you for teaching me more.🙇♂️
English

@Garrel_Channel Well, I'm doing my best to try to learn things properly now, so I don't cause any further misunderstandings.
I will warn you though. With online Western etiquette being what it is, there'll surely be some accidental scares. Well, I'm not sure it's just Western etiquette.
English

@Garrel_Channel I suppose, the person I was talking to didn't want to show any anger to me, after I accidentally offended them. I asked them if anything was wrong, and they reassured me everything was fine. It lead to an awful misunderstanding, that then lead to an even more disastrous one.
English

@Garrel_Channel Unfortunate. There was a time I was trying to cheer up some people, who had entered into a feedback loop of despair, and I ended up scaring them instead.
I'd severely underestimated the cultural difference. I also had a more recent incident receiving a polite lie. >
English

@Ice_kaguya_sama @leumaleum It was worse than a waste of effort. Not only did he humiliate himself, he actually made Iino angry at him. It was outright counterproductive.
I think that's one of their major themes, isn't it? They try so hard to be selfless, they actually make a mess of things.
English

@junhagemay And it's true, it does toughen us up. No matter how harsh or unexpected, it's never actually scary. I'm usually surprised when it turns out someone is actually angry, not just mildly irritated in the moment.
English

@junhagemay Unfortunately, I've made the mistake of misjudging what Japanese people were comfortable with before. Even when I was trying to be relatively polite, I've left room for misunderstanding at times.
Seems the Western communication style can be quite scary, huh.
