Still a bit floored by this… but am grateful, (almost) beyond words, to have just been appointed an OBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List. It’s been a privilege to work for the UK’s small business movement — for over a decade now — supporting the entrepreneurs I see every day power local growth and create jobs. This recognition feels like icing on the cake. Massive thanks to all my brilliant colleagues and volunteers at FSB (especially my boss, and the Westminster team); to Marco, my family and friends for putting up with me; and to whoever nominated me! This week my son was booked to attend the awesome @RockSchoolUK at @RockRollCircus so a call to the fab @airedalehouse and I’m hot-desking all week, I don’t need to take a week holiday and one son not on his screen all week! Win,win,win the power of SMEs right there!!
