Still doing 60 mg IM ketorolac? Consider 15 mg instead, glad to have the IntraMuscular data to go with the IV from @painfreeED previous work. I sum it up this way, "Ceiling effect of NSAIDS: there are only so many COX to block!" pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34365063/ COX=CycloOXygenase enzyme

Physician asked me for push-dose epi. Nurse grabbed epi code syringes, handed them to me. I stated, “that’s not what she wants, I’ll make it, I have to dilute it.” She responded, “that’s epi that we push.” She’s right. I’m thinking a better name might be micro-dose pressors

@endowayRx I too have been trying to cone up with a better descriptor for these Push-dose is a terrible way to describe dilute pressors as ~every drug 'dose' is 'pushed' in these situations. I like micro-dose pressors; don't think anyone would get confused with the other use of microdose

@jdfj @AJWPharm I love peppinephrine but while we’re all yelling at each other through masks, I wonder if the p in front would occasionally be a little muffled/not heard clearly

@ZachFoughty @DrugInfoGeek I’ve heard them referred to that way as well and like it but not sure the nomenclature would gain enough traction for widespread use

@endowayRx Maybe we can call it Bebe-epi? I feel that that would be super fun to yell in a critical situation 😂

@bessbell Luckily there is a third option, Jo Jorgensen, that will be on the ballot in all 50 states! Check her out!

This election is a tough call because one candidate was endorsed by both the Taliban and the KKK and the other was endorsed by a broad bipartisan coalition and the New England Journal of Medicine.

As an emergency pharmacist, I have always been so proud of the collaborative nature of the ER. I’m not a member of any EM organizations. The lack of interdisciplinary collaboration in our EM organizations and this kind of behavior is why

Words matter. In the medical setting, *resident*, *residency*, *fellow*, and *fellowship* belong to physicians ONLY. ⬇️📃 Every EM physician, resident, & student should be paying attention to the battle on scope of practice. 🥼 That’s the tweet. emra.org/be-involved/be…

This is frustrating. It seems we still have some work to do on interdisciplinary collaboration...and respect
