I still haven't seen a convincing argument yet that Dan 9:27 is about the Messiah. The antecedent of the he in 27 is the prince of the host that shall come in 26, and his people who destroy the city and the sanctuary are Romans. How do you get verse 27 being about the Messiah out of that?

Refuting no gap between Daniel 9:26 and 27... In verse 26 the temple is gone. In verse 27 the temple exists. There is a gap between the 69th and 70th week because we KNOW the temple has not existed from verse 26 2000 years ago until now...

The arrival of the Messiah, was to strengthen the covenant mentioned in Jeremiah 31:31 The purpose of the entire 70th week was to confirm and strengthen the everlasting covenant. Acts 7:55-56 was the final end point of the 70th week. The corporate nation of Israel was given 3.5 more years after His crucifixion to receive the gospel message. They rejected it. So the gospel message proceeded forth through the remnant of Israel: the apostles.

THE THIRD TEMPLE TEACHING CAME FROM PAPAL ROME. Do you know that you have fallen for another deceptive teaching from Rome? The idea that a future rebuilt temple will be built in Jerusalem, with one man called the Antichrist sitting inside it, is not in the Bible, at all. It is not in Revelation, it is not in Daniel and it is not in Thessalonians. This erroneous teaching showed up during the 1500s, when reformers like Luther and Calvin were reading prophecy and calling out the papal system as the Antichrist power. They never taught that the endtime Antichrist was one man, but like the Bible shows, it is a system working over time inside the church. Rome did not like that, at all, so they pushed back. The Catholic Church, through its Jesuit scholars, introduced a different way of reading prophecy to move attention away from what the Bible said and what the reformers were teaching. A Jesuit priest named Francisco Rivera started spreading that the Antichrist would be one single man in the future. He said most of Revelation would happen at the very end, in a short period. He tied it to a literal temple in Jerusalem. Another Jesuit, Robert Bellarmine, backed it up and helped spread it, even wider. The goal was to take the spotlight off the papacy and pushed everything into the future. It worked. Because those false teachings moved out of Catholic circles and into Protestant churches over time. In the 1800s, John Nelson Darby built a whole system around it. Then the Scofield Reference Bible, and the Dallas Theological Seminary spread it everywhere. After that came pastors, mostly Evangelicals, prophecy charts, movies, books. It got repeated so much that people now think it has always been there. And some, reading this, have fallen for the deception, even arguing but have no clue where it came from. The Jesuits is where these false teachings come from: 1. A future third temple. 2. A seven year tribulation. 3. A one man Antichrist 4. Everything centered on literal Israel. All of these false teachings have the same root, the Catholic Church. What does the Bible say?God already told you what His temple is. 1 Corinthians 3:16, you are the temple of God. Ephesians 2, believers are built together into a holy temple. There is no verse in the BIBLE that says God goes back to animal sacrifices in a rebuilt building. There is no verse in the Bible that says the church stops being His temple and God returns to bricks and stones. Yet people are waiting for construction in Jerusalem. They are watching the ground, while missing what is happening in the church. This teaching did not come from Jesus, and it did not come from the apostles. It came out of the Catholic counter move during the Reformation, then got picked up, repackaged, and preached until it sounded like truth. That is how people get misled. Not because they are stupid. Because they were never told where it came from. Now, you know. Study further or keep believing the lies. The choice is yours.

There’s nothing in the prophecy about breaking a covenant. It actually states the opposite. The Hebrew text means *to strengthen*. He *strengthens* the pre-existing covenant. The covenant in Jeremiah 31:31. To *strengthen* a covenant, it would have to be pre-existing. Which it was.

What are the seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven bowls in the Book of Revelation? The seven seals (Revelation 6:1-17; 8:1-5), seven trumpets (Revelation 8:6- 9:21; 11:15-19), and seven bowls/vials (Revelation 16:1-21) are three series of end-times judgments from God. The judgments get increasingly worse and more devastating as the end times progress. The seven seals, trumpets, and bowls are connected to one another. That seems like a lot of mental gymnastics to what at face value seems to reads the people (Romans) of the prince that shall come (the Antichrist). The fact that he (the prince that shall come) confirms the covenant for 7 years and breaks it in the middle of the 7 years (3.5 years, times time and half a time, 1260 days, 42 months, etc.) makes an even stronger case for reading at what it seems to say at face value.

The people of the Prince that shall cone did not know the hour of their visitation when the Prince did come and Jerusalem was destroyed as a result of their rejection of the Messiah, the Prince and His messengers. Yes the Romans did Destroy the City but who sent them and why? Had the Jews accepted the Messiah, then the Prince would not have sent His armies to destroy them and their city. The Prince they rejected sent His armies to destroy them and burn up their city. This is what the Scriptures are saying. It is not speaking of a Roman prince at all.

There is only One Prince who is the Subject of the 70 weeks and that Prince is the Messiah, The prince. The people of the Prince who is to come are the Jews. We read in John 1:11 [11]HE CAME UNTO HIS OWN, and his own received him not. And because His own received Him not, they lost their sanctuary and their Nation. This is what Daniel 9:24-27 is dealing with. It has nothing to do with the antichrist as many are teaching whatsoever.

I do admit they seem to have a special place in God's heart. Why would He go to such great lengths to bring them to repentance with the two witnesses in Rev 11, and all that goes with that. However, when they are committing wicked acts, just as He would any other people, He will judge and destroy them just like He did throughout the OT.

This abomination would carry on in a desolate temple until the consummation aka destruction of the temple and the city by the Romans in AD70. This has nothing to do with the antichrist or a peace treaty he signs whatsoever.
