I already canceled my flight because I couldn’t risk losing even more money, but I really feel for everyone still stuck waiting for @AirCanada to make a decision. It’s so unfair to leave passengers in limbo, unable to make new plans until flights are officially canceled.

For context, the cancellation fee is due to booking through a travel agency.

Had to cancel my Europe trip today to avoid $7,000 in hotel penalties if I waited until tomorrow. Air Canada charged a $600 fee; Air France gave me a full $538 credit for my Paris−Rome flight. The difference in customer treatment is striking. #TravelNightmare #AirCanadaStrike

@GrumpyMaxGato @AirCanada I booked this flight in April. No customer can reasonably predict a strike four months out. The problem is @AirCanada's complete failure to communicate now, leaving passengers for an imminent flight hanging. That's not on me; it's customer neglect.
