@contextfreeinfo I think youtube wants to be tiktok, regardless of what its users want. It probably has data they feel justifies this idea. But it is ultimately driving users like me away with junk like this.

Well, if it works for other people that's great, but I don't like seeing them in my subscription feed. And I don't like YT hounding me to make them.

YouTube badly wants me (and everyone else) to make shorts. But I just hate shorts so much. I wish they would go away.
