Education is supposed to teach people how to think, not what to blindly follow. But today, many people support lies because the lies entertain them, protect their interests, or make them feel accepted by the crowd.
Truth often feels uncomfortable, so people avoid it. A degree can fill your mind with information, but it cannot automatically give you honesty, integrity, or common sense.
Some of the smartest people academically still make foolish decisions because wisdom and character are different from intelligence.
At the same time, lack of education can make people vulnerable to manipulation. When people never question what they hear, they become easy to control by fear, gossip, fake promises, and emotional speeches.
That is why society suffers.
The educated stay silent when truth is needed, and the uninformed follow noise without understanding.
Real growth begins when people stop clapping for every popular opinion and start asking deeper questions.
Not everything trending is true.
Not everyone speaking confidently is right. And not every crowd is moving in the right direction.
Think independently.
Seek truth even when it is unpopular.
Because a society that celebrates lies will eventually suffer from the consequences of its own deception.
Education is supposed to teach people how to think, not what to blindly follow. But today, many people support lies because the lies entertain them, protect their interests, or make them feel accepted by the crowd.

WE NEED TO BROADEN THE CONVERSATION BEYOND THE FINANCE BILL ( Tax proposals) !
I did a small survey in the morning to a group of SMEs I was training on Tax planning for Tax optimization & Compliance
I randomly asked 10 people to explain two of the most important documents in Kenya’s budget-making process:
The Finance Bill
The Appropriation Bill
The results were very interesting.
All them had an idea of the Finance Bill although some could not clearly explain where it originates from or how it becomes law.
The most interesting part ; only 3 people had even a basic understanding of the Appropriation Bill.
Yet ironically, the Appropriation Bill is what determines where the money actually goes.
While the Finance Bill focuses on how Government intends to raise revenue through taxes and levies, the Appropriation Bill and Budget Estimates determine how that money will be spent across sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, agriculture, security, and business support.
In simple terms:
The Finance Bill takes money from the economy ; The Appropriation Bill decides where that money goes.
Very few people pay attention to expenditure priorities, budget allocations, pending bills, debt servicing, or how public resources are distributed.
As citizens, we need to broaden the conversation beyond taxes alone.
We must also educate our people on:
• Budget Estimates
• The Appropriation Bill
• Public participation in budgeting
• How Parliament approves expenditure
• How these decisions directly affect economic growth and service delivery

Let me give you some advice. If you are building anything that will cost you more than 1 million Kenya shillings, please hire professionals. Please please am begging you. Hold your ear like this.👂Stop being the architect and structural engineer of your own building. There is more mathematics that goes into what you see than you think. Now some of you have beautiful houses with paint that is peeling. Some of you have bathrooms where water does not drain into the hole#. Some of you have business buildings where the support beam is right in the middle blocking the doorway. Some of you have rental apartments where I cannot pack a car even with magic. Some of you have staircases that are designed like a death trap. Some of you have toilets that bring all the dirt and smell back into the room. Please hire professionals. An architect, a structural engineer, a quantity surveyor, a professional plumber not an apprentice, a professional electrician not kawaya. Stop spending too much money building rubbish. In any case most of you end up spending more than those who hire professionals. You go to Karen you find very poorly constructed houses you wonder surely, land costs 80 million here, are you completely unable to hire a professional or you just think its a waste of money?
I am a lawyer. But there is no day I will ever represent myself in court or in drafting a contract. I hire a third eye. The individual must not be a relative or a friend doing me a favour. He or she must do a cutthroat straight perfect job and get paid reasonably for it.

Hinga: Ushuru Kautoshi Kujenga Nyumba
Serikali inasema inahitaji takriban Shilingi bilioni 400 kila mwaka ili kufanikisha ujenzi wa nyumba za bei nafuu laki mbili kila mwaka.
Charles Hinga anasema ushuru wa nyumba hautoshi.
