Gutted to hear of former Scottish First Minister @AlexSalmon's passing. I fondly remember when he interviewed me in 2019 for the @AlexSalmondShow and then our long and interesting discussions, especially about Scottish independence 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, also while he was holidaying in Malta.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Lorenzo Vella, Head of our @EU_Commission Representation in Malta. I’ll remember him as a kind and enthusiastic person, and a passionate European. I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
