Most of Web3, and near all of the current DeFi ecosystem, rests on a foundation that used to be a large vision of decentralization. That foundation is mined out to make “revolutionary” yield farming protocols. The dev teams buy a Uniswap fork, blow it all to hell with 47 different governance tokens and remove all the original innovation (the actual decentralization we’re supposed to be building), which then fills with liquidity mining rewards…because we’re basically operating below the intelligence sea level here. The result is these square “ecosystems” with names like FlokiDogeMoonSafe that dot the DeFi landscape like a bad rash. At some later point, they sometimes partially fill these lagoons in with whatever buzzword salad and celebrity endorsements they can find. They build some NFT marketplaces around the perimeter where you can buy pictures of rocks for 50 ETH and sell it as a “revolutionary Web3 metaverse experience. coinmarketcap.com/currencies/def… This is at least partly why some wallets out there have foundation cracks that drain your life savings, etc. The constant “fair launches” used in aping damage actual users who thought they were investing in the future: rekt.news/leaderboard/ But Anoma changes everything. Instead of this extractive copy-paste hellscape where every transaction requires a PhD in MEV optimization, intents let users express what they actually want to happen - like “I want coffee money” instead of “please execute this 23-step arbitrage across Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and three DEXs I’ve never heard of, then bridge to a Layer 2 that may or may not exist tomorrow, all while dodging sandwich attacks from bots named after Pepe variants.
