Olivier Deriviere is such an interesting guy, he makes some great pieces of music but he seems to be stuck in a maze of getting only offers from niche/mediocre games apart from plague tale which from what ive seen is actually well made all around

@oderiviere What I noticed and what saddens me is that at some point memorable main themes almost disappeared from the films, often they don’t exist at all. 🙁

The vast majority of film scores have become so weak. I sympathize with composers who still try to make something personal and impactful to a movie. I understand the dynamic (directors/producers asking for x, y ,z) but the compromission of many other composers is real.

@jmechner I was 11 when I first played the pirate Russian version released by Fargus in 1999. This is a good localization with the right approach: Russian speech recorded over English - original cast could be heard, non-English speech remained untouched - only subs were translated. 3/3

@jmechner Real actors looking straight into the eyes as they pass by in their rotoscoped form. Opportunity to overhear important dialogues if you are in the right place at the right time. All this perfectly increases the immersiveness. And excellent music score by Elia Cmiral. 2/3
