Yes. He’s being weird about it but in that moment he still respected her boundaries. Respecting someone’s boundaries doesn’t mean that you’re okay with them. It just means that you’re a decent person who knows that the world doesn’t revolve around your wishes.

There are many times where people say no to something and you’re hurt but you still have to respect them. You don’t decide people’s boundaries for them.
