For the last guy trying to get at me saying "we can see real Buddhism in NE " - that dharmic Buddhism is fast being displaced by Christianity and Islam even in remote places of Arunachal. Do you want that? We as a nation cannot allow this drastic demographic change and need much tighter regulations and clean up of NE of outsiders for now.

Eradication of the dehat by means of mandatory skilling and then placing them in appropriate jobs is the way to go. Even if it tramples a little bit on their "freedom" or rights, skilling them and gainful employment will provide them the dignity that they so lack today. In our current framework, this is not possible. I am not advocating a permanent autocracy, being a strong republican myself, but today's situation calls for urgent reformation of the structure of our polity—even if temporary—before we settle for a new one, to tackle this dehat issue head-on. Today, every political party treats the dehat like vegetables on a balancing scale to tip the scale in their favor. Without actually doing anything for them—and no, freebies are not the answer, but a temporary solution to keep it dragging till the next election—our politicians use the dehat like cattle to amass votes, and that's it. Where is the dignity in that? This is why it's essential to make the dehat vote mean less than the non-dehat vote, temporarily, before their numbers reach a single-digit percentage—the rest having been pulled up from the dehat status by means of mandatory education, skilling, and then a proper trade job.
