@ACumbow I hear ya but IMO I don’t think they can generate enough half court offense to slow it down and make a deep run. They get an easy 12-16 pts a game by running aggressively.

Ugochukwu out for the season as expected. Sucks for both him and the team and I hope he has a speedy recovery. He was better than I expected him to be and losing a ball handler when there’s not many on the roster is tough. That said, I think MSU can survive this. Opportunities are there for Scott, Fort and Teng to step up. I’m guessing this will result in Wojick getting some more opportunities going forward but there’s a couple different things they could do as well IMO: 1. They could go with a bit of a backup by committee approach which I think they could survive. Fort played some PG at Samford I think. Maybe let him bring the ball up for a minute or two and see how it goes. Play without a true PG while JFJ gets a breather. 2. Slow the pace down a bit and make it easier for JFJ to play big minutes. MSU always wants to push it in transition and this isn’t really ideal either considering the half court offense has had issues all year, but they did this in 2019 with Cassius with a team that had injuries and it worked out okay. Not saying this team is as good as that one but it’s just an option you would have. It’s never ideal to have an injury and they suck but sometimes being forced to trim the rotation a bit isn’t always a bad thing. Scott has earned his minutes and done a really good job for a freshman. It’s time for Fort and Teng to step up. MSU can get through this if at least one of those two is hitting some shots.
