🎈Deputy Minister Swarts prepares to release a balloon equipped with cutting-edge weather reading technology! As the balloon ascends into the skies, it will collect vital weather data across the troposphere and transmit it to SAWS meteorology system, enhancing SAWS ability to generate accurate weather forecasts. The balloon reaches an average altitude of about 25000m. This innovative approach is a testament to @SAWeatherServic commitment to leveraging technology for better early warning systems contributing to disaster risk reduction. @BerniceSwarts1 #WeatherTechnology #Innovation #Meteorology #EnvironmentalManagement #PublicService
