Deeply disappointing news about Luton Airport receiving development consent for further expansion - more noise affecting communities like the one I live in.

As Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Universities and Skills, I will continue to call for further reform of apprenticeships, including more clarity on their new growth and skills levy as well as reform to ensure apprentices receive at least the minimum wage. (4/4)

@EmmaSzewczak Then there’s the problem of homeless people too. I live in one of the villages you mention and it’s changed considerably in recent years. Younger, well paid, tech types, have moved in, and changed the atmosphere. Houses are ~£1m with developers buying up and upsizing property.

Tempsford, Bedfordshire. As highlighted by @KaneEmerson and @SCP_Hughes , Tempsford will soon be one of the best-connected greenfield sites in Europe when East-West Rail opens, Tempsford already benefits from the recently upgraded A428 and the East Coast Main Line.

For the first time in 50 years, there is a national commitment to a new generation of new towns. But as history shows, the location and design of new towns is critical to their success. @BritainRemade and @createstreets's new report shows where and what new towns should be 🧵

Would be more appropriate to develop to the north and west of their circle. Far fewer constraints and more space.

.@BritainRemade are it again - 200,000 homes at Tempsford. Wonder whether they have visited the location? Maybe to the west of St Neots and A1 but not Tempsford.
