This is one of our flood control projects in Iloilo: a life-saving infrastructure that now protects thousands of Ilonggo residents from floods like those caused by Typhoon Frank in 2008. This was built with the help of JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and constructed by Hanjin Heavy Industries of South Korea and China International Water & Electric Corporation. The project includes widened river channels, better drainage, and new bridges built to withstand typhoons.
