Welp, I was afraid of this moment, but here we are... The algo finally bit me. While others are celebrating larger payouts (some reporting a 2x increase from last week), I got a whopping $0. I've changed nothing. I post multiple times a day. I post pictures. I try to engage as much as possible (when I have time). I even put together a couple articles, because, well, that's what X wants us to do, right? "Long form posts will be weighed heavier" Give me a break. It's becoming more and more evident that the small to mid-level content creators are getting boxed out, while the large accounts get fatter. This is NOT the large accounts' fault. They're playing the game the way they're supposed to, just like I am. This is not a criticism of them. In fact, without the help of a few of those large accounts, I'd have never made it this far, and I'm grateful for all they've done. With that said, I'm not sure what my next steps will be. Do I make another run at the Subscriptions program? I'm eligible, but I honestly don't know what to offer to folks to warrant charging them a monthly premium to see my posts (outside of explicit content). And I'm not ready to go down that road. I'm not looking for sympathy. This isn't a pity party. I'm simply trying to figure out if the juice is worth the squeeze any more, or if my time would be better spent creating on a different platform. Any suggestions or advice on how to get my visibility back on here would be greatly appreciated. To be clear, I do NOT want to leave X. I love it here. I've met so many amazing people. However, I refuse to be taken advantage of by a platform that only rewards the top accounts, and leaves crumbs for the rest of us. Thoughts?
