Norway is a key strategic partner for Europe’s competitiveness, energy resilience and security, particularly in the Arctic, where cooperation and stability are more important than ever.

In Norway today, EPP President @ManfredWeber is meeting with our member parties @Hoyre and @KrFNorge, to discuss some of Europe’s defining challenges: competitiveness, demographic decline, migration and asylum, and security and defence.

We must protect households and the European industry from soaring energy prices. Today, EPP ECOFIN Ministers adopted a united position on energy price interventions, striking the right balance between immediate relief and long-term structural solutions.

Our role is to protect farmers from external geopolitical shocks. We cannot allow rising fertiliser and fuel prices to add undue pressure. This was the key message of the EPP Agriculture Ministers’ meeting, which focused on long-term solutions for the sector.
