Oh look, BBM is now openly crawling back to China begging for joint oil and gas talks after three long years of loud "assertive transparency," endless PCG photo-ops, and grand speeches about defending every inch of our sovereignty.
The same president who poisoned the well with non-stop visuals, EDCA expansions, and "rule-based order" chest-thumping is suddenly singing a different tune: "peace and national interest" when the Middle East flares up and power bills start crushing ordinary Filipinos.
Fishermen still can't fish at Scarborough without being harassed or rammed. Power rates keep climbing because Malampaya is dying and SC 72 remains frozen. Yet here we are โ from "stand firm against the bully" to "please negotiate, we need the gas" in record time.
What a spectacular, spineless flip-flop. Classic Marcos: all bark when the cameras are rolling, zero spine when the lights start flickering and the bills come due. You spent years letting elites hedge their SC 72 stakes while the rest of us paid the price. Now the mask slips.

President @bongbongmarcos said the Philippines is open to reviving joint oil and gas talks with China as global tensions begin to strain energy supply and reshape regional strategy. In an exclusive interview with Bloomberg on March 24, Marcos pointed to the escalating conflict in the Middle East as a factor that could push both sides back into negotiations. The Philippines is under pressure to secure its energy supply as output from the Malampaya gas field declines. The country has begun importing liquefied natural gas and is exploring other sources, including crude oil from Russia, to stabilize supply. The renewed push for talks comes as the Middle East conflict drives volatility in global oil markets. The Philippines declared a national energy emergency on March 24 to address risks to fuel supply and economic stability. Despite this, Marcos said foreign policy remains anchored on stability. โOur foreign policy is very simple. Peace and national interest,โ he said. โWar is never in the national interest as far as the Philippines is concerned.โ

The desperate House Justice Committee is on a pathetic fishing expedition again!
Instead of addressing the real suffering of Filipinos โ high prices, joblessness, and daily hardships โ these clowns are busy subpoenaing everything from Madriga's worthless self-confessed bagman affidavit to 20 years of SALNs, NBI "threat" records, SEC papers, CFI funds, and even tax returns of Sara and her husband. Pathetic!
This isn't justice. This is a shameless witch hunt and political vendetta with zero solid evidence, just recycled lies and media drama to manufacture a "mini-trial" circus.

Now the real roast โ compare with VP Leni Robredoโs OVP:
Leniโs budget: Never broke โฑ900M (mostly ~โฑ500-700M). Zero confidential funds. Small operation = tiny payables.
Saraโs OVP budget: Ballooned to โฑ2.3B+ because she actually ran **massive** medical assistance, scholarships, and direct aid programs. Bigger scale = naturally bigger temporary payables at year-end. Itโs called scaling operations, not โInday lustay.โ
Both got the **same unmodified/unqualified COA opinion** โ clean audit on the financial statements. Leni got it for years; Sara also got it consecutively. No โworseโ here.
