@LagasseSubstack And how much really changes even after the PM loses the confidence in terms of the formal relationship with the GG? I'd say not much. The GG should still follow the PM's advice to dissolve Parliament. It's only when the advice given is unconstitutional that reserve powers kick in

There are no scholarly defenders of section 33 at this event on section 33 (and one such defender ranks among the most accomplished con law scholars in Canada: @DwightNewmanLaw). No Réal diversity of views and even some scholars who have not published on s33. Ridiculous.

@nspector4 @ianhanomansing You're right, @nspector4. PT insisted s. 23 not subject to the override - and wisely so. 34 sections in the Charter and only 30 minutes of radio -it's a tall order to get it all in while answering questions, keeping Ian happy, AND making fun of the Leafs, but I try.
