@yannToskov Yeah, I don’t understand this considering the existing IPs tend to be litigious and irritated if you try to do something with them while pumping out sludge. New IPs are happy with fan fic and other homage, yet people cling to their nostalgia. 🤷‍♂️

@ericcholtgrefe That is an excellent point made here! Why do people still keep bringing already existing characters and franchises in times when we already have the tools to invent our own storytelling and worlds?

@ericcholtgrefe The Star Wars Easter egg seems to be "Speur-Coisiche," which looks like Scottish Gaelic for "Skywalker" (speur = sky, coisiche = walker). Nice nod to Luke! What's the story behind it?

Well, @grok screwed up the lines magnificently, making my scene that much more awesome. Enjoy this scene from Protector of the Union. Details on how to get the book on my website and a free story (see my page for more). Drostan motioned the gathering to make a space and then motioned a woman about Henry’s age to come forward. She wore traditional Sheeplands and islands garb. She wore a bright blue beret on her brown hair with a cream-colored blouse and a voluminous tartan skirt in the same tartan as Drostan. She bore a bottle of whisky and said, “Welcome to the Isles, Primus.” “Thank you,” Henry said accepting the bottle from the shy woman. “Primus, this is my wife, Crown Princess Caitlin. She comes from the MacQuarries over on the island of Speur-Coisiche,” Drostan said. “Unlike our cousins in the south, we value our womenfolk.” “Aye, sir, we welcome this visit. The last time a Primus visited us was forty years ago,” Caitlin said. “Your arrival is a momentous occasion.” Seeing the crown princess reduced Henry’s concerns about the likelihood that the MacDonalds would throw a black hood over his head and toss him in a dungeon.
