Celebrate the Arbor Day with the Prairie Village Tree Board. A ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, in Porter Park where a tree has been planted in memory of this year’s honoree, Sarah Milgrim.

Thank you Captain Adam Taylor for your 26 years of service keeping our Prairie Village and Mission Hills residents safe. The large crowd that turned out for your retirement ceremony was just the tip of the iceberg of the thousands of families whose lives you’ve made safer.

There will be no solid waste, recycling, or yard waste collection today, 1/26/26, but if your bin is already at the curb, you ca leave it there. Collection will be delayed this week, but please put your trash out on your normal service day and leave it until collected.
