@postanythingLFC City likely win that tie if Sane's goal is correctly given. Liverpool was on ropes and City was all over them.

@JayMCFC_ @Talhaa10_ No idea why Pep went away from Nico G given he had played well early in season. But after Everton he was done.

no functioning midfield since the treble season. we won the league 23/24 because foden gave up his body, rodri gave up his legs and kdb was crazy. txiki this is what happens when u don’t rebuild

@JayMCFC_ @Talhaa10_ Bro hadn't had one full training session before Saturday's final. Pushing him back out there and leaving him on for 90 wasn't ideal given the pace of Bournemouth.

@City_Xtra @SPORT1 €90M is exactly why this move may never happen. Bayern like Gvardiol, but paying that kind of fee for a defender when they already nee3d reinforcements in other areas feels unrealistic. Still, if City are even open to listening after just two seasons, that says a lot 😩😭💔

Josko Gvardiol is looking to leave #ManCity and is known to be a fan of Bayern Munich, who shortlisted the defender during his time at RB Leipzig, according to @SPORT1. However, the Bundesliga champions are likely to be deterred primarily by a potential €90M transfer fee. 📰

@KRMotswiane @mancityfever2 They're being conservative in World Cup year. City has the ability to not rush guys back and risk further injury. Would expect him to maybe get a little time Saturday and then available to start last two.

@mancityfever2 Pep pisses me off with this thing of misleading us about players' injuries. We were told that Rodri is not badly hurt & he might be out for 1/2 games. Since he got hurt we played multiple games without him, we even dropped points in a title chasing period. Now the FA cup final.

🚨 OFFICIAL: Pep Guardiola has confirmed Manchester City have a fully-fit squad for the Emirates FA Cup final vs Chelsea aside from ‘doubts’ around Rodri. ✅ 🗣️ Pep on whether Rodri is available this weekend: “We’ll see. He’ll travel and we’ll see...” 👀 Mind games? Which players would you definitely start in the final?

Only two players showed up today: Doku and Cherki. Everyone else… nowhere near it. Midfield looked completely lost without Rodri! And the defence? Shocking. Cost us the game.

@Lea_EFC It was the 97th and Everton had an injury and two sub stoppages after 90. Don't do that and it's over at 96. Not going to address the Keane tackle? Just the calls that went against?

I obviously want Manchester City to win the Premier League for the Blue Cartel but tonight Everton have been robbed blind. Everton should have been awarded a penalty when Silva rugby tackled Rohl And conceding in the 98th minute when they awarded 6 minutes injury time is ridiculous.

@MikeMongie Petty clear. Doku is stationary playing the ball as Mac Allister runs into his foot. Mac Allister isn't playing the ball. He's playing for contact to draw a penalty.

@HoltChris The point is, a truly big club sells it out every time regardless of how many times in X number of years the team reaches Wembley. Yet we’re supposed to believe this is the biggest revenue generating team in the world? It’s not a dig at working class fans of Manchester City.

I say it all the time but I hate this. City’s fans are mostly working class from Manchester, they were at Wembley a few weeks ago, they’re there every year, they go deep into CL every year. There’s only so much anyone can afford. The issue here is FA Cup semi finals at Wembley
South Stand Pies@SouthStandPies

The most successful team in England in the last ten years and there were 10,000 empty Man City seats at Wembley. And that’s after they gave some to Southampton! Embarrassing. #MNCSOT

Manchester City should be given at least a 10 year transfer ban.. They have signed Tijjani Reijnders and Nico González within the space of one year and are about to sign Anderson for a minimum of £120m which will amount to €300m for the three of them. They signed Omar Marmoush and used him for a couple of games and found out he was a flop, Pep went straight to sign Semenyo, both of them cost around €143m, all these within 1 calendar year. Pep signed Grealish for £100m, it didn't work out and he went to sign Doku for €65m.. This is the cheque book manager Arsenal is competing against every season, A man who can wake up and decide to sign 10 players in a transfer window just because Rodri is injured.. Manchester City Pep will never be respected in the world of football because he is a cheat..
Fabrizio Romano@FabrizioRomano

🚨 Manchester City are prepared to make a very important financial proposal to Elliot Anderson, leading the race as revealed since March. Manchester United still attentive and keen if Man City deal won’t happen. Nothing advanced with Forest yet. 🎥 youtu.be/3Ig8tR8OcHs

@9320pod It's a tacit acknowledgement that City are operating on a different plane than the other clubs. They've surpassed everyone, so the rivals are actually only competing amongst themselves.

This has bothered a few people, but I think Sid is right. City winning the league has become the default for everyone. Makes it easy to dismiss because we seemingly always win (at least during the Pep era). It's a bit like being Bayern Munich or PSG. If you support any challenger, you would rather the dominant team won it rather than someone who you think is on your level. Were Dortmund fans happy that Leverkusen won the league? No, they would've preferred Bayern to win it. This stuff isn't rocket science and it isn't that deep. We never really heard it during the Pep/Klopp era because everyone was focussed on the quality of the football. Arsenal have reduced the conversation around the title to "nobody wants us to win it" because they've not played like champions in 2026. Oh, and their supporters are quite unhinged.
Sid Lowe@sidlowe

Have wondered about this. Here’s my theory: I think it’s sort of the opposite. But it is born, at least in part, in the place you’re talking about. I don’t think it’s love; I think it’s a kind of indifference. By which I mean, it’s like City don’t count and people — who see them (whether rightly or wrongly) as operating on a different plane and with different rules etc — are kind of resigned to them and have reached an acceptance. So, for fans of teams like, say, Liverpool or (even) United (despite being rivals in Manchester), if City win the league: shrug, yeah, whatever, what you gonna do? If this year Arsenal or in previous years Liverpool win the league — who you are competing with on the same level, who are your peers/challengers, for want of a better word, whose title win would be as good as yours would have been — it actually does hurt and it does mean something. It’s a “real” title win…and thus, by extension, a real title loss for your team. And I suspect that goes beyond just fans of those teams too to become more generalized. I know, I know, plenty of people will really dislike this, from both sides of the argument, and I might have to hide from the @s now as they all shout at me, but it’s about people’s perceptions and I reckon there’s something in that. Anyway, sorry: a long tweet. Just a theory.
