@erictune4 @PulumiCorp @AWSCloudFormer Any possibility this feeds into Deployment Manager at all? We use cuelang to generate our cloud stacks. Sometimes even trying to figure out the schema for objects even with the docs is like pulling teeth.

Over the last year, I've been working with github.com/lukesneeringer and others to take some of the best things about Kubernetes APIs and apply them to Google Cloud's APIs.

Would be interested to hear from anyone else working on Cloud APIs if this resonates - @PulumiCorp, Azure Resource Manager (#ARM), @AWSCloudFormer, etc

Like CRD-based APIs, Declarative-friendly GCP APIs have a single method to update the resource, rather than many ad-hoc methods to update different properties (I'm looking at you GCE Instances - #rest-resource:-v1.instances" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">cloud.google.com/compute/docs/r…)

@rothgar Yes, it is similar to CloudFormation.

Manage 72 different types of cloud resources using kubectl, with Config Connector. Now GA. List and yaml examples here: cloud.google.com/config-connect… Proud to have contributed to it.

Using Encapsulation, you have to invoke code to change an object's data. With Declarative Configuration, you have to change an object's data to invoke its code.
