Sweating the details and dialing in the interactions does so much to make a product feel premium. When they respond the way things do in the real world: with weight, momentum, and give, it just feels right. Built this browser extension using @cursor_ai with this in mind.

Use higher effort when the task must think its way out of uncertainty. Use lower effort when the task can act its way toward the answer.

I’ve mostly kept agent effort set to “medium.” It gets my web dev work done without letting token costs run wild. Is the better default to start lower and scale up when needed, rather than tossing tokens into the wishing well and assuming more reasoning means better results?

@ericvanholtz We could not prove thinking materially improves our bench in Framer, it just made it much slower.

We evaluated a bunch of models, including the new GPT 5.6 models on real design tasks. CanvasBench V0.1 includes 236 Framer canvas challenges measuring model quality and efficiency across layout, design understanding, edits, and web design workflows. framer.com/canvasbench/

@amfonte @cursor_ai Same chat. I wouldn’t say the crash only happens when queuing up tasks though.

@ericvanholtz @cursor_ai Are you batching a bunch of those changes and rolling them into one agent or is each revision spinning up a new one? If it’s the latter, it may be overwhelming the platform?

Yo @cursor_ai, the app crashes on me at least once a day, usually when the agent is testing in the in-app browser. After it reloads, I tell the agent it crashed, then it usually picks up where it left off. Happy to help debug if useful. Let me know!

@amfonte @cursor_ai Yeah, when I want to do quick revisions I rapid fire off tasks using the Design Mode which is really nice. While it works through them it will end up crashing. It happens a lot to me.

@ericvanholtz @cursor_ai Weird. I’ve never had this happen with the in-app browser. It’s so great to have that design mode to target elements, sorry that it’s giving you trouble!

I think I'll have to just stop using the Cursor Browser feature. It's so frustrating. :(

@jurrehoutkamp Gotcha! How much of a difference do you see when running it on Medium or High?

I built Loading Today ✨ A cozy OS-inspired escape for the @codetv_dev Hackathon that shows how much of the day has “loaded” so far with calming visuals, ambient sounds, and playful interactions. Select the CodeTV theme and watch the Web Dev Challenge episode in the TV app!

animation is fun. community activities are fun. winning stuff is fun to celebrate the launch of the latest Web Dev Challenge, @codetv_dev cooked up a hackathon with @webflow & @greensock that's fun ×3 build an animated landing page & you could win! (details in thread)

@cassiecodes @codetv_dev Thanks! 😁 Yeah, the idea for the browser extension (new tab) would be that I could then power it with RSS data, curated content, and sponsor announcements. It'll be fun to create new themes, moods, and apps! When building it I loved hearing the audio in the background.

I'm finally trying out Codex and have just a couple quick thoughts for @OpenAI 1. Let me set a home page for a project's browser 2. Show my usage limits for 5h [n%] / 1w [n%] to the right of the user info bottom left 3. Provide sound notification settings, separate from toasts
