"How do you have energy if you skip breakfast?"
I'm burning the 100,000 calories of fat I'm carrying. Same as every human ancestor before 1950.
"But fat is hard to access."
Only if you spike your insulin with cereal at 7am.
"Don't you get shaky?"
No. That's what happens to sugar-dependent people when their blood glucose crashes.
"This sounds disordered."
Eating six times a day and panicking if a meal slips by 90 minutes sounds disordered.
One approach has 2.5 million years behind it.
The other has a marketing budget.
I remember when we used to make compilations of Liberals freaking out because it was so unbelievable that one, let alone a dozen of these videos existed.
Now this sort of shit is common place.
Does Liberalism lead to mental problems? I'm honestly curious.
@dom_lucre But you are not a content creator and just steal other people’s viral videos to get paid off clicks because you are lazy, talentless and entitled
X is better than any other social media for creators. Nobody can compare to the features X have. Everyone should quit their jobs and create here full time. It will work out for you, trust me.
The "8 to 12 reps for hypertrophy" rule exists because enhanced bodybuilders grow from anything you put in front of them.
Pre-1960s, before the steroid era, everyone trained heavy. Four to eight reps. Compound lifts. Add weight to the bar over time. The end. That was the entire methodology and it produced the strongmen, the early Olympic lifters, and the original physique guys.
Then anabolics arrived in the gyms.
Suddenly bodybuilders could do twenty-set arm sessions with drop sets, supersets, partial reps, the lot, and grow visibly month on month. They credited the volume. They credited the rep ranges. They credited the techniques. They wrote the magazines that taught everyone else.
They were credit-misallocating. The dianabol was doing the work. The training was largely incidental.
Naturals read the magazines. Naturals copied the protocols. Naturals have spent fifty years grinding through routines designed for people whose recovery is being subsidised by injectable testosterone, then wondering why nothing has changed since 2019.
The 8 to 12 range isn't useless. It's just second-best, whether you're natural or enhanced.
Enhanced lifters grow from a stiff breeze. Their training is decorative.
Natural lifters need every available advantage. Heavy load. Low reps. Maximum tension on the working fibres. Recover, repeat, add weight.
Stop training like someone whose pharmacy bill is doing the lifting for them.
In 1688 the British Royal Family gave up all their power and authority to the City of London in exchange for having their debts paid off. In my opinion, the Royal Family are not fans of the City of London.
Having just stayed at a hotel Trump was staying at a week ago, I find it very hard to believe the shooter got as close to Trump as we are being told. I am not saying there wasn’t a plot against Trump’s life but rather the situation was manipulated to draw attention to how the media is inciting whack jobs to acts of violence. It also draws attention to the need of a secure ballroom to hold events. Trump is a judo master. Come at him and he will use your weight against you in taking you to the floor.
With so many podcasters exposing themselves for the frauds they are, I find myself without much content to take in. I find myself listening to music again. 😂
I’ve been seeing people complain about all the fake-MAGA influencers turning against Trump. I’ll have to take their word for it because I stopped following these traitors long ago.
My credit score recently went down slightly because I don’t have enough revolving debt. Is there any more ridiculous way of determining one’s credit worthiness? You pay things off and your credit score goes down. 🤦♂️
Jesse Ventura: “I’m still not over January 6th. That was treason. All of the people should have been arrested and put in prison all the way to Trump because he and Giuliani and all of them orchestrated the whole thing. He tried to violate the Constitution”
