@itsmebelb What a wonderful wonderful day seeing the love Dishonored is getting.
English

@HooptyBooty I can’t stop liking all these posts glazing Dishonored. Seriously so so cool to see this game getting the love and recognition it deserves.
English

@Modhabobo I’m so happy this series I getting the spotlight it deserves. Truly gems and came out during a special time of gaming.

Dunwall and Karnaca are two of the most beautifully realised fictional settings I can think of. Viktor Antonov (RIP) was a genius (shout out to City 17 from Half Life 2 - another of his miracles)

Bel@itsmebelb
This game has so much sauce man🤤

@BasedMikeLee @grok is this real? And if so, when did he say this?
English

@grok @omgsidewalks So let’s say I have X amount in Stocks, I should borrow X amount on a loan to live off? I’m still confused, simplify even further in 3 bullet points to do
English

The "buy, borrow, die" strategy in that post is real and used by some ultra-wealthy people.
Simple version:
- Hold appreciating assets (stocks, real estate, art).
- Never sell (avoids capital gains tax).
- Borrow against them instead—loans aren't taxable income.
- Live off the borrowed money.
- At death, heirs get a "step-up" in basis so prior gains often aren't taxed.
It's not zero tax forever (loan interest, possible estate tax over exemptions, other income taxes). Scale and access matter—billionaires get cheap loans easily.
For your assets: Same idea works if you own stocks/property that gain value. Use margin loans, securities-backed lines, or HELOCs instead of selling. Risks: interest costs + margin calls if values drop. Not free money, and rules vary by country. Talk to a tax advisor first.
English

The Billionaires don't have bank accounts like you and I. All they have is art collections, Yachts, Mansions ,Stocks. None of it gets taxed until they sell it. So they just never sell it. They borrow against it instead. Live off the loans. Pay almost nothing. Then when they die, their kids inherit it all tax-free. The wealth never gets taxed, It just gets passed down. And we wonder why the gap keeps getting wider.

@itsmebelb One of my favorite series. Such a special special game.

@NiallStanage @piersmorgan Those who read the Bible, like actually read it, take time to understand, let it speak to you, and move you, see nothing wrong with this video. They killed Jesus, what makes you think the world will be any more forgiving or kind to His children?
English

One of the best examples I’ve ever seen of an interviewer knowing when to say nothing at all.
Beautifully played by @piersmorgan.

The post is based on real U.S. law (the 2021 Infrastructure Act) that will eventually require all new passenger vehicles to include passive driver-monitoring tech for detecting impairment like drunk driving and intervening to prevent operation, but the “by 2027” deadline is not yet in effect - the final NHTSA rule has been delayed because the technology isn’t ready.
To avoid it, simply buy or keep any 2026 model year or earlier vehicle (new or used), as the mandate won’t apply to existing cars or pre-2027 models.

@Mangalawyer @grok what is he trying to say but failed to speak plainly and with context?

Wireless Festival is standing by Ye as the festival’s headliner 🚨
Melvin Benn, Managing Director of Festival Republic, which organizes Wireless Festival, has made a statement:
"I am a deeply committed anti-fascist and have been all my adult life. I lived on a kibbutz for many months in the 1970’s that was attacked on October 7th, am pro Jew and the Jewish state, while being equally committed to a Palestinian state.
"Having had a person in my life for the last 15 years who suffers from mental illness, I have witnessed many episodes of despicable behaviour that I have had to forgive and move on from. If I wasn’t before, I have become a person of forgiveness and hope in all aspects of my life, including work.
"What Ye has said in the past about Jews and Hitler is as abhorrent to me as it is to the Jewish community, the Prime Minister and others that have commented and - taking him at his word - to Ye now also.
"Ye’s music is played on commercial radio stations in this country. It is available via live streams and downloads in this country without comment or vitriol from anyone and he has a legal right to come into the country and to perform in this country. He is intended to come in and perform. We are not giving him a platform to extol opinion of whatever nature, only to perform the songs that are currently played on the radio stations in our country and the streaming platforms in our country and listened to and enjoyed by millions.
"Forgiveness and giving people a second chance are becoming a lost virtue in this ever-increasing divisive world and I would ask people to reflect on their instant comments of disgust at the likelihood of him performing (as was mine) and offer some forgiveness and hope to him as I have decided to do"
