I’ve tried everything to turn these creatures back to humans. How did Grayson do it? I failed this many times - I cannot afford to give up now. My heart aches for them. There is something I haven’t tried, I know it! Till then, it ought to work. What should I do? #LetTheInkDry
I don't know how long I've spent in his lab. I thought I'd find something to help me, anything from the folders from experiments long ago, but it seems he was in a rush. I wouldn't have felt a difference, had it not been for his spoken wish and the grief flowing through my veins.
I think I just woke up from one of those visions, neither a made-up fantasy nor a subconscious nightmare borne from my own fears, for I have none for now, or none that I know of. It was like a dream, or... a limbo. I've aged considerably, I believe, but I haven't aged at all.
It is time. Time to say goodbye to this wretched dark world, devoid of emotion and feeling. Everyone is leaving through the Ink Blot Clot. Thank you for the memories, Inkwell. We will now jump down the same way they did 50 years ago. Will you miss it? #LetTheInkDry
Mordant Shoulder has formed a contraption that sprays the lake water onto all the trees at the same time. Another point for technology. They will help us to work the tool. Even Beaked Shield is helping us to look after my revived brothers and sisters, as is Falcon Crown.
Of course... the Retinoic Acid. "It possess anti-ageing and reversal properties. This has a chemical reaction with the Liquid Titanium and internal human chemicals." I can't believe I overlooked something so vital in Grayson's reports.
Another absurdity - the lake water brings my fellow dead Proxies (God bless their souls), from their green graves back to the land of the living. How can this be? There is no scientific way to explain the resurrection of my brothers and sisters.
Ally is back. She told me some absurd tale that the Ink Blot Clot sent everyone back to the ‘real world’, and that it turned me human. Why should I trust her? She has done nothing but deceive Grayson. The truth will come to light soon enough.
Never mind. I've decided that this can't be a nightmare, because my own mind would never conjure something so cruel. Grayson has left me, in this world and his, with my last order — to make others feel again, as he has done to me. Unfortunately, it seems he forgot to tell me how.
