I am relieved that this book exists because it is a force of reckoning in this movement of #knowingandbeingknown. And it is a major resource in the pursuit of #theartofadultfriendship. Let me know if you rea d it. I want all your thoughts.

Basically, there isn’t another book out there like this. The stories are both familiar & foreign. But their insights demand our attention. Pushing back the tide of #romanceidolatry is an overwhelming but necessary undertaking for the sake of all our #intimaterelationships.

This #offtheshelf #minireview is a long time coming. I learned about this book while finishing my manuscript. Though I wish I had read it soon enough to include in my own book, honestly, it’s a blessing b/c I might have had to add new chapters to cover the overlap of material.
