Hey X! I haven’t posted in a long time but now I have started my career in ecology, I have a lot to share with people interested in the conservation world 🌎 Here are some recent pictures of the types of wildlife I see on surveys and some achievements 🥇

My final project at Gibraltar Point before I leave, this pond was built in just over 2 days by me and @samgod96 in the plantation! It’s been an absolute pleasure to work here and I’m going to miss it terribly. Hopefully this pond will catch some beauties 🦋🐞🕊️ @LincsWildlife

There’s definitely an ‘end of season’ feeling in the air now, but still a few of our birds yet to fledge. Lovely views of two 8 day old ringed plover chicks this morning, feeding out on the mudflats. The remaining little tern chicks are starting to flap their wings- not long now!

It’s been an absolute pleasure to witness each of our now EIGHTEEN (18!) little tern juveniles fledging, flying and fetching their own food. Our latest one fledged just this morning, hot on the heels of the last two. We have up to 6 chicks left to go, so here’s hoping! 🤞🏻

Barn owls have bred again at Gibraltar Point this year! These two cute (ish…) chicks were ringed yesterday by the licensed ringer. Lovely to be able to help 😊
