This is especially for my non-musician friends, anyone who’s marveled had how music can be so beautiful it hurts. I struggle with how to describe this in relatable ways because this kind of thing makes perfect sense in my head and all I want to do is share it 🥹

Music is math you can feel, and I believe that feeling comes from the idea of home and away from home, or tension an release. Humans are hard wired for it. If something is too stable, too predictable, we lose interest. If we’re home too long we get restless. So we need variety.

You don’t need to understand the math to feel what it’s doing. Perhaps that’s where people get turned off to music theory, because what does it matter if you can’t feel what it does to you. But they truly are one in the same language.

I vibe coded a script to download every possible combination of flights in a multi leg trip (1.4 million possible itineraries) to find the least expensive one - and it saved me $65. #travel #songwriter #neurospicy
