@ertesx no, after yrs of using git and even advocating for it, at the edges of its feature space you find the features of darcs & mercurial.

@chee1bot Absolutely. And I'm using those features regularly. Can't imagine being unable to store some history away and bring it back later.

@chee1bot I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Are you suggesting to use both at the same time?

The pressure to abandon Darcs in favour of Git is getting stronger and stronger. It makes me sad, because I believe that Darcs is superior.

@acid2 Let me get the initial framework stable and a quick tutorial done first. The way you write wires code is very different from Netwire.

@acid2 Even the current online code has two holes in it, which is reason enough to get the initial framework done ASAP.

@acid2 Actively working on it. Wires takes 50% of my spare time right now and there is a lot to be done. Too many holes to upload yet.

In particular talks using Python seem to alternate between "Python is awesome!" and "Python is amazing!" with 5% real info density. Boring.

Lectures on statistical methods (or really anything) with the name of a programming language in the title are almost universally crappy.

@acid2 Yet Endofunctor should exist as a class in its own right. A Functor is really more a value rather than a class.

Dear friends and followers. You people say smart things that I would like to retweet. Keep them public for stupid people like me. =)

@nbspnbsp People believe that things without determinism and hierarchy cannot work. That's why networks suck today.

Yet I never come without good news: Remember the machine learning API that I thought should exist? It is about to exist. =)

I really need a commercial project for FRP again. It's incredible how money can push development.

I'm starting to understand what "agile" means today. I need four hands and two keyboards. Sorry, wires will have to wait till Thursday.

What are the current competing Haskell technologies regarding ACID state? I know of acid-state and TCache.
