Has anyone had a letter from Erudio about a data beach. Apparently, Capquest have been using subcontractor Adare SEC to send us our mail, giving them our name and address info, and all that such correspondance includes, incuding letter content.

Other issue @CWU_Huw many like myself had there student loans all messed up cause of #postofficescandal ppl like me have £££ of debt4life ie cant go away by iva/bankruptcy&will stay even after I am no longer here excuse my French from start to finish @erudioed screw me over

Erudio's solution to data leak is paying you £25 to register with Cifas but warn it'll negatively affect your credit file by requiring longer to process all future credit applications & extra docs required by lenders. This'll put many off registering, limiting the cost to Erudio!

@erudioed Yes, apparently the mailing house they use was impacted by a cyber attack and a letter to me (and others presumably) was included.

@erudioed Anyone else had notification of a data breach from these clowns?

@KMsmiler Damn Kel, sorry to hear that...they really are vultures. They have done a similar thing to me a few times and I had to chase them up to get the forms sent off in time. Did you still defer and chase things up, or did you not contact them and then the solicitor stuff just arrived?

@TraceyE_ @cara_oladeji Payments stop on the end date of the loan agreement. But if you pay, make sure you take the longest monthly option, it is your right, and dont go for the higher quicker plan they will try and enforce. Best not to give them anything though...

@erudioed @cara_oladeji Is that even if you start paying them? Mine are due to be written off sept 2024 and I am close to the cap...

Just out of interest. Has anyone been deferred in the allotted amount of time this year without having to follow up or contact them?

@allnewEuan I have heard that the ombudsman often turns down the claim initially after its PWC restructuring a few years back but as long as you know you have the facts straight, dont be deterred!

@allnewEuan They often settle sharpish if it will mean going to the ombudsman as it will cost them cash and compensation money to you.

@allnewEuan if they are giving you shit, dont forget to use your official complaint!

@Sutty_PR As you may not have noticed, I am not erudio, I am anti-erudio trying to monitor their shitness, deceit, pressure tactics and all round horribleness, all under the guise of a responsible debt collector who buys its way into people's lives.

@Tothepo85849100 @mrspossum79 Rachael's 100% spot on. If you dont think you should have to give that info, dont be afraid to file an official complaint and stand your ground. It will still be written off after her b'day!

@mrspossum79 @erudioed Can I ask. My partner is being messed about again this year. Asking for the first time if she receives support. Her loan is due to be wiped in nov after her 50 birthday. If they mess about and make her pay will it still end on her birthday

@vjw79 No problem Vicky, happy to help! I think its terrible they are forcing us to contact them to get deferred but at least they do it finally. So much for the quick portal...

@vjw79 Indeed! You have to ignore that message, stay on the line and ask that they defer you whilst you wait. I think they will do it automatically, so dont be too demanding unless they start getting arsey. If they do start, immediately state you want to file an official complaint, etc
